When is the appropriate time to arrive in Singapore?

To prevent jet-lag, teams from countries with 6 or more hours of time difference are recommended to arrive in Singapore one day before the actual event, on 25 April 2010. For better itinerary planning, below is the rough schedule of our event for your convenience.

Is there any possibility that we can get a hold of the past presentations to see what we should be expecting?

Yes, the powerpoint slideshow of past year’s champion, Copenhagen Business School, is available upon request. Please contact our friendly APEX Global Representatives or email apex@smu.edu.sg to get hold of the slideshow.

What topics or skills would you recommend studying to prepare for the case? Will we have any guidance regarding the theme for this year’s case?

No guidance will be given regarding the case. This is to ensure all participants are competing on equal grounds. However, potential topics and past business-IT case can be found here: http://apexglobal.smu.edu.sg/?page_id=45.

Can we provide the names of the team members later?

Yes but please submit it by March 1st 2010.

When is the deadline for the registration fee payment?

Payment for the registration will be arranged with each university after the confirmation of registration. The deposit is due 3 weeks after we confirm the university’s registration. However if more time is needed, feel free to email our APEX Global Representatives to arrange for the ideal time of payment. They can be reached at apex@smu.edu.sg. After payment of deposit, the full sum can be paid in Singapore directly when the teams arrive.

Are the airfare expenses included in the registration fee?

No. Please take note that air travel expenses are not covered in both the coaches’ fee and the team’s fee. The team and team coach will have to purchase their own air tickets to Singapore.

What does the $200 SGD (per person) Coach fee cover exactly?

The $200 SGD for team coach will cover the coach’s meals and transportation fees in Singapore throughout the whole event. Team coach would have the choice of booking their accommodations through us.

What does the $1600 SGD  team fee cover exactly?

The $1600 SGD will cover the participants’ meals, accommodations, and transportation fees in Singapore throughout the whole event.

What are the modes of payment available?

There are 3 modes of payment available:

  1. Cheque (Prefered)
  2. Telegraphic Transfer

We prefer to accept cheque/ draft. There will be no processing fee unless cheque/draft is returned/rejected by the bank. Teams are encouraged to use this payment mode. It will be greatly appreciated if the payment of cheque is sent via courier.
